A psychotherapist and former attorney of 25 years, Jeff is passionately committed to bringing Decency values every area of life. The author of Radical Decency: A Values-Based Approach to a Better Life and World. A  longtime community activist, Jeff also co-founded the National Constitution Center and chaired Philadelphia’s Public Interest Law Center.

Jon McConaughy

Co-Founder

Jon is the proud owner of Double Brook Farm, a vertically integrated operation focused on the humane treatment of animals and the core principles of regenerative agriculture. Devoted to sustainability and truly local farming, the pioneering closed loop food system he develop also included a restaurant and market.  Jon previously worked, for 20 years, in the financial sector.  

Kim Follett

Board Member

Kim is a dedicated non-profit management professional with over 20 years of experience in community-based human service delivery. She has been involved at all levels of organizational development and service provision including direct client services, funding procurement, program development and evaluation, staff training and development, quality assurance, strategic planning, and program and operational management.

Newell Thompson

Board Member, NuAg Corrdinator

An entrepreneur and consultant, Newell has deep experience in media, publishing, product development, start-ups, branding, and marketing. Newell has worked with iconic brands such as TIME, National Geographic, and Fortune. Having grown up on a dairy farm, Newell is particularly passionate about transforming local farming.

Mike Brady

Board Member

Mike is a total personal financial resource to individuals, offering advice on every aspect of money management – budgeting, asset protection and growth, and retirement planning. While tending to the important goal of economic security, Mike offers an expanded vision of his services, working in close collaboration with others to create financial plans that are fully integrated into, and congruent with, clients’ larger life goals.

Marc Jacobs

Board Member, Hub Group Coordinator

Marc Jacobs, with a bachelor degree from Temple University, had a career primarily in non-profit and small business marketing and management. As a second phase of life Marc moved into the world of behavioral health and Life Coaching. He is the founder MenschWork, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping men improve the quality of their lives. He writes and publishes spiritual and secular poetry. He is developing the group process techniques for Radical Relationality.

Charles Fax

Board Member

A long-time litigation attorney, Chuck has represented public and closely held corporations, trustees, law firms, and business executives and employees in a wide variety of contexts. He also taught at the University of Baltimore School of Law from 2010-2015, was a columnist for the ABA's “Litigation News” and is co-author “Litigation Problems and Their Solutions” (ABA Publishing 2020). From 2017 to 2019, he was a member of the Federal Monitorship Team for General Motors and, from 2019 to 2025, for the New York City Housing Authority. A prior National Campaign Vice President for Jewish National Fund USA, he currently serves an advisor to the organization’s President.

Jeremy Garson

Board Member

A practicing attorney, Jeremy has, throughout his career, focused on the creation of a more civil and just society. He served, for 6 years, as a senior executive at Bridge Alliance, a coalition of over 100 organizations seeking to promote more decent and effective political/governmental processes. And before that was counsel to the Firefighters and Teachers Unions, and served as an aide Congressman Joseph Sestak. He is currently serving as assistant counsel for Camden County, New Jersey.

Dr. Maria Murphy

NuMetric Coordinator

Dr. Maria Murphy, a principal at Bloom Funds, helps purpose-driven organizations secure funding, address operational challenges, implement streamlined procedures, and align strategic business priorities with social and environmental sustainability impact. Having recently served as the Associate Director at the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Maria now applies her research & organizational strategy skills to support organizations to grow, innovate, and serve their communities.  

Joel Schneier

Administrator

An experienced administrator who worked in the financial/accounting sector for over 20 years, Joel has special expertise in tax and data base administration. He brings to his work with the Foundation a life-time of wisdom gleaned from his deep commitment to Judaism including its vibrant traditions of justice and repair of the world.
